WINTER EVENTS

From early October until April each year, Shirley Park Bowling Club have various activities.

​

Indoor bowling:

We have several indoor friendly bowling matches see fixtures.

​

Club bar opening:

Every third Sunday of the month we open the bar for a Sunday lunchtime drink, followed on some occasions by a movie. The bar is open from 12:00 midday until 3:00pm.

​

Darts:

Shirley Park Bowling Club are also members of the Bowlers Darts League, which is a winter only league. We play darts against other Bowls Clubs in the Croydon area. All league matches are played weekly in the evening. There are also darts competitions if you would like to enter. Cribbage:

Every Monday and Thursday are Cribbage nights, Monday is practice night and Thursday is match night. If you play Crib then feel free to join us. Alternatively if you would like to learn to play, there are plenty of experienced players willing to teach. Contact our Cribbage Team Leader Alan Blyghton 07831 556399.

Line dancing:

Wednesday afternoon we have line dancing for both ladies and men. This is a great way to exercise whilst learning the moves. The dancing is coached by one of our own lady members Elsian Linsell. 020 8776 2497.

Short mat bowls:
